There's still a lot to be done, and we are far from perfect, but here you will find lots of hard work and an honest commitment to create the community we need to face what’s next together.

The practicalities

🏡 Living together

Vivarium is a co-living concept where you can experience life in a community in Valencia while having the privacy and personal space needed to recharge, focus and connect with yourself.

  • Instead of a finished product, we want to offer you the possibility to participate in building it.

    We believe in shared governance and want every member to have the power to influence how the community works.

  • The space has 24 private rooms with private bathrooms, divided in 3 floors and equipped with everything needed to live and work comfortably (even if you stay long-term).

  • Inspiring community spaces to spark connections and share quality time together.

  • Each floor shares a fully equipped kitchen with two cooking areas to showcase your culinary talents and share delicious meals with other members.

💻 Working together

We like to create an environment that fosters quality work. This involves the facilities but also a culture of mutual support, skilled professionals, and opportunities to collaborate.

  • People who come to Vivarium are talented professionals and entrepreneurs working on their projects.

    Inspiring individuals who are always open to sharing their knowledge and skills and to continue growing professionally.

  • Fast and reliable internet connection throughout the house (up to 1gb through ethernet cable).

  • In the common areas, we work from the big living room table, one of the cozy sofas in the library, or while taking a little sun on one of the terraces.

    Need more privacy and focus? You can always work from the workspace in your room or from one of our meeting rooms.

  • 100 square meters of professional work area, with big desks, comfy office chairs, meeting rooms and a coffee corner to boost your creativity.

🌱 Growing together

Our community is oriented towards learning and growth. Without feeling that you are back to uni or in a retreat, you will have opportunities to develop personally and professionally.

  • Some of the most significant learnings happen in informal conversations during our long dinners or with a glass of wine after closing the laptop.

    Expect knowledge exchange to happen quite organically. It's all about curating a group of curious individuals willing to learn together and teach each other.

  • In our weekly community learning sessions, we organize workshops to learn together.

    Sometimes we facilitate them, and other times a member proposes to host a session for the community, or we attend together a local event.

  • Vivarium is a centric and urban coliving, and we like to make the most of what the city has to offer.

    By joining the community, you will have access to our network in Valencia and the chance to connect with the local ecosystem.

  • Our view of the role of the host goes beyond being an organizer of activities.

    For us, the host is a facilitator, a connector and someone who takes care of the wellbeing of the group.

    You will have our support in your learning journey, whatever it may be.

  • Usually, we are at full capacity 2 months in advance. We recommend you book with enough time to secure your spot and be able to choose the room you like the most.

    If we are fully booked when you send your request, we will add you to our waiting list and reach out to you in case there are any cancelations.

  • We have different prices depending on the room and membership you choose (short, mid or long-term).

  • We want to foster meaningful connections, and that requires time.

    So we have a minimum stay of 1 month. Although in some exceptional cases, we are flexible and will be happy to hear about your particular case.

    The average stay in the community is between 2 to 2’5 months, and we have had colivers staying up to 9 months (maybe you can break the record?).

  • Yes, we love people staying longer and offer discounts for stays of more than 3 months.

  • We have 24 rooms divided in 3 independent floors and a capacity for up to 30 people.

    Then there’s Pablo and Dome (hosts) who live in the community, the +50 members of the extended community (ex-colivers), and our network in Valencia.

    You will have the opportunity to meet plenty of people, although the people that are living with you are typically the ones you end up calling “family”.

  • You will meet very talented professionals who up until now happened to also be very nice human beings.

    We have welcomed people at a moment of change that realized their new path while being here, entrepreneurs that decided to start their company in Valencia, freelancers that came to explore the city and connected with new clients, creatives that found new inspiration for their art, corporate rebels that wrote their first book between these walls, artisans that work with their hands, creative programmers who love dancing…

    People like you, coming from all corners of life, who want to connect meaningfully with others, grow together, and immerse themselves in the city.

  • The average age in Vivarium is around 30 years old.

    We have had members in the community from 22 to 65 years old and everyone is welcome as long as he/she is aligned with the values of the community.

    However, if you are wondering if this is a student flat with parties going on every week, the answer is no! The parties we like are the ones in which we gather around the table with a glass of wine and a good conversation.

  • Absolutely. As long as you want to share your love 😜 with other members of the house, you’re more than welcome.

  • We are located in Eixample, right next to Ruzafa, one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in Valencia.

    Authentic cafés, amazing local gastronomy, art galleries, music bars, vintage boutiques, cozy bookstores, and fitness studios.

    By 5 minutes walking from home and you will find over 9km of gardens at the old river bed. (Los Jardines del Turia)

    10 minutes, and you will be at the historical city center of Valencia, a thousand-year-old neighborhood, filled with life, rich in street art and home to cutting-edge museums.

    Ride your bike for 15 minutes and you will find yourself at El Cabañal, a traditional fisherman neighborhood in Valencia. Located by the beach, and is home to the local innovation ecosystem.

  • Our approach is very organic and co-created, so it can vary a lot from one week to the next and from one group to the other.

    Having said that, we have some weekly rituals, like family dinners or community learning sessions (where most of the magic happens!) and a regular community meeting.

    It’s also very common that colivers propose different activities, like workshops to share their skills, day hikes, concerts, dance classes, etc. and we always send recommendations about interesting events happening in Valencia.

    By joining, you are encouraged to get actively involved in the community and to be part of the co-creation of the experience. We will always be there to facilitate the process, support you in your proposals, and nurture the community.

  • Yes.

    When booking we ask for a down payment to secure your stay.

    If for any reason you need to cancel, you will get a full refund (minus transfer costs) as long as you let us know at least 30 days in advance (so we can find another person to cover your spot).
